Andrew & Virginia – married!
Weddings are wonderful for the love between the couple and for the connecting time for families and friends. Virginia and Andrew’s wedding this July was that for me. I grew up with Andrew in Swift Current and photographed his sister’s wedding a few years back. I went to college in Winnipeg with Virginia. For my first “back in the prairies” wedding, it was lovely that it was this one – a wedding full of people that were already connected to the couple and to each other.
The ceremony was held in the Bergthaler Mennonite church in Altona where Virginia works. The beautiful singing filled the large room with joyous sound. During the ceremony Andrew & Virginia were surrounded by their family & friends as they prayed for the couple.
The portraits were taken at Andrew’s aunt’s farm in Gretna, where the reception was held. These two have a silly side! I love that they could hardly contain their love and laughter.
Lots of family = big family portraits!
And I’m so happy to photograph these folks again 🙂
Andrew made all the candle holders!
Thanks for having me as a part of your day!
