"It's In the Bag" – Charity Fundraiser in Vancouver

What a great event! A Purse Auction called “It’s In the Bag“, organized by the Antigone Foundation, raising money for WISH, A.W.A.R.E., Soroptimist Internation of Vancouver and the Antigone Foundation.  The event was held at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Vancouver on May 27, 2011.

Everyone was all dolled up, and there were so many beautiful purses to drool over and bid on.

Doug Batchelor Photography was on site with a Photobooth, and participants went home with a unique framed portrait.

The food was amazing – Dinner by the Hamilton Street Grill and Your Secret Chef, and dessert by Berliosca Cake Boutique.  Oh my my… those red velvet cupcakes were UNBELIEVABLE.  So tasty.

A few of the purses went up for live auction, led by Fred Lee.  He had everyone practice bidding first – “$1000!!!”

Chris Hedlund of Berliosca Cake Boutique created a Sculpted Purse Cake – so realistic that before I realized it was a cake, I reached for the handles to pick it up!

The Purse Cake went up for Auction and raised a lot of money.
